CEC's Fisker Karma
Body Kit

Initial Sketches:
The project started very informally when very basic sketches were presented to CEC (above).  The designs were refined and presented next as Renderings (below). Multiple Designs were shown, with the customer driving the requirements.

CAD Development:
Working with Polytec's 3D surfacing CAD Engineer Gregory Shpringer, the intial sketches and renderings were created in 3D data.  Shown below are screen shots of the work done in 3D CAD to refine the design.

Mounting Concept Development:
Finalizing the mounting proposal for the side skirt and front skirt.
The Side Skirt will be held to the vehicle with 3M tape,
multiple hanging brackets and mechanical fasteners.
The Front Skirt will be attached to the front fascia with a combination of 3M tape and a few lower mounting brackets.

Final Proposal:
After multiple design reviews and styling changes the final proposal was made.  Below are the final renderings presented to the customer
.

Final Models:
Models were created for CEC to show the vehicle at the 2012 Sema Show in Las Vegas.  Created by Complex Pattern, 'soft tools' were machined from 'Renshape'  and then resin was hand laid into the tools.  The b-surfaces (mounting surfaces) were then machined to create a true representation of the final part.
